Southlake Sister Cities
(est. 1991)

Hello!

A
Southern welcome from Southlake Sister Cities.
Southlake Sister Cities (SSC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering global understanding, friendship and communication through education and exchanges. Regular meetings are held monthly (second Thursday of each month) and attended by the Board of Directors and general membership. SSC is a proud member of Sister Cities International.

Our International Relationships

Our
proud sister cities
Southlake Sister Cities is partnered with Tome, Japan and El Fuerte, Mexico. Students and adults participate in annual exchange programs with Tome. In the Spring, students from Tome fly to Texas and are treated to local museums, parks, and cuisine. They stay with host families and take tours together. Then in the summer, Texan students fly to Tome and stay with Japanese host families. These students experience ancient and modern Japanese culture. Adult trips are in the fall.  Southlake Sister Cities has recently entered into a friendship city agreement with Wuzhong District of Suzhou City in China in 2010.
