Southlake Sister Cities (SSC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering global understanding through education and other exchange programs. SSC is a proud member of Sister Cities International.
The mission of Sister Cities International is to promote peace through mutual respect, understanding, & cooperation – one individual, one community at a time. It is a nonprofit citizen diplomacy network that creates and strengthens partnerships between U.S. and international communities.
Southlake is located 20 miles from downtown Dallas and downtown Fort Worth – in the heart of the DFW Metroplex. Southlake was established as a farming community in the 1840s and retains much of its rural charm today. It was incorporated in 1956 with a population of about 100 people.
